Senior Financial Analyst

Department: 05- Finance
Location: Houston, TX

Position Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the financial foundation of a rapidly scaling multi-billion-dollar auto lending business. As a Senior Financial Systems Analyst at Stellantis Financial Services, you will be responsible for increasing the stability of the company’s financial operations. You will look beyond the numbers to provide meaningful insights that ensure we have reliable financial systems in our next phase of growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Drive automated efficiency in financial reporting and systems controls processes.
  • Partner with IT, finance, and accounting teams to build systems integrations, controls, and automated reporting.
  • Lead the evaluation and documentation of financial reporting and systems controls.
  • Support the development and ongoing execution of automated financial reporting and systems controls.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams serving as their trusted technical advisor.
  • Work closely with finance management in building automated financial reports.
  • Identify ways to promote efficiency within the financial reporting process through new templates, systems, and data relationships.
  • Identify financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies, while also ensuring
  • compliance with financial regulations.
  • Support business area as needed on special projects.
  • Preserve organization’s value by being a good custodian of confidential information.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Competencies:

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a technical role with financial data, working with modern technical applications. Examples include Power BI, Tableau, SQL Server, SSIS, and Fabric.
  • Advanced Excel including Power Query and Power Pivot.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail, demonstrated integrity, and professionalism, while effectively multitasking and prioritizing diverse tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, along with strong organizational and time management skills.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, accounting, finance, or related field.

Skills Required:

  • Travel 0-10% - as required on an as needed basis.
  • Must have reliable transportation and live within a commutable distance to one of the following cities: Atlanta, GA; Dallas, TX; Detroit, MI; Houston, TX; Phoenix, AZ.

Qualifications Preferred:

  • Experience in the auto finance industry or lending industry
  • Proficiency with ERP and financial reporting applications.
  • Ability to write and execute SQL queries.
  • Advanced proficiency in dashboarding tools including Power BI, Tableau, etc.
  • Proven ability to perform under pressure and stress and to adjust plans to meet changing needs and requirements.
