Default and Specialized Services Auditor

Location: Atlanta, GA

Position Summary:

The Default and Specialized Services Auditor is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and regulatory compliance of Default Services operations through comprehensive audit and quality control practices. This role involves conducting daily audits of loan documentation and recorded phone calls, assessing the performance of Quality Control Auditors, and delivering constructive feedback to enhance operational effectiveness. The Auditor will identify trends and training opportunities, support responses to external audits, and contribute to vendor oversight by developing and maintaining performance scorecards. This position plays a critical role in safeguarding compliance with internal policies and industry regulations, while promoting continuous improvement across Default Services functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily default workflows to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant processing.
  • Manage the generation and exception reporting of Right to Cure (RTC), Application of Proceeds (AOP), and Notice of Intent (NOI) letters.
  • Monitor agent productivity and queue management to optimize performance and service levels.
  • Investigate and resolve escalated issues related to repossession, claims, and title discrepancies.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal departments such as Collections and Customer Service, as well as external partners (e.g., Allied Solutions).
  • Ensure proper documentation and system coding for accounts in bankruptcy and default status.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing accurate reporting and documentation to ensure regulatory and operational compliance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational objectives.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in auto finance or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of industry regulations, compliance standards, and operational best practices.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and advanced analytical skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and with external partners.
  • Proven ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with data reporting and analysis tools such as SQL, Tableau, R, Python, or SAS.

Education:

  • High School Diploma / GED

Additional Requirements:

  • Overtime required – required on an as needed basis.
  • Travel 0-10% - as required on an as needed basis.
  • Must have reliable transportation and live within a commutable distance to one of the following cities: Atlanta, GA; Dallas, TX

Qualifications Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred

Work Schedule This position requires the ability to work various shifts to accommodate business needs. Typically, between the hours of 8AM-6PM Monday through Friday and on weekends as needed. Travel is required 10% of the time.
