Optimization Engineer (Part-Time)

Position Summary:

The Optimization Engineer supporting Compliance is responsible for the standardizing, optimizing, and automating compliance risk and audit processes for the second and third line of defense. This position will provide the Second Line and Third Line of Defense automated solutions; design and maintenance of Compliance/Audit related data; conduct qualitative analysis; and generate solutions with reporting, automation and efficient workflow processes for Compliance and Audit functions. In partnership with the functional business and key stakeholders, continuously drives a strong culture of compliance and demonstrates integrity and professional judgement in protecting the interests of Stellantis Financial Services and its subsidiaries.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the Compliance, Licensing, Issue Management and Audit Departments (CCO/ Sr. Managing Director) in the development, automation, and efficiency of workflow solutions.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert using various tools such as SAS, SQL, Tableau, SharePoint, Salesforce, Power Automate, ACCESS, Visual Basics for Applications (VBA), Macros, and Excel to streamline risk and audit procedures.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and document requirements for risk and audit standardization, automation of CCO and Sr. Managing Director.
  • Design and maintain databases to store and organize risk and audit-related data effectively.
  • Conduct qualitative analysis to identify areas for improvement and develop innovative solutions to address business challenges.
  • Generate reports and perform quantitative analysis using analytical tools to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for optimization.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of automated solutions with existing systems and processes.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on utilizing automated solutions effectively.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to risk and audit automation.
  • Maintain current knowledge and general understanding of Consumer Regulatory Knowledge.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years Compliance, Legal, Regulatory, Financial Services, or Risk Management background and knowledge.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Information Systems, Data Analytics, or bachelor’s degree with additional certifications with related technology fields.

Skills Required:

  • Experience in Data Analytics.
  • Microsoft Access and Excel, including VBA and Macros for advanced data analysis and automation.
  • Minimum combined 7 years computer programming/coding and, Software language such as SAS, SQL, Tableau, and Python.

  • Travel 0-10% - as required on an as needed basis.
  • Must have reliable transportation and live within a commutable distance to one of the following cities: Atlanta, GA; Dallas, TX; Houston, TX; Phoenix, AZ.

Qualifications Preferred:

  • Proficient in SQL and SAS, data manipulation and extraction.
  • Experience with VBA tools, Tableau reporting and dashboard creations.
  • Strong knowledge of SharePoint and Salesforce to manage and organize data.
  • Strong automation ability of workflows using various software and applications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Access, Excel, and Macros for advanced data analysis and automation.
  • Strong creative and effective development of business solutions.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into understandable language for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven history of detail-oriented accuracy and precision in data analysis and reporting.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with capability of prioritizing tasks while maintaining an elevated level of responsiveness, client focus and attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive results.
