Bilingual Title Coordinator II

Position Summary:

The Titles Coordinator II will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of titles for our organization. This includes ensuring accuracy, completeness, and proper documentation of titles for our products and services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Handle the processing of vehicle titles with precise accuracy and all activities related to various title processes such as but not limited to title/lien perfection, repossession titles, releases of lien, title maintenance and collateral management.
  • Must be flexible and nimble to support multiple title areas throughout the day.
  • Coordinate and acts as a liaison between FDI Collateral Management, Custodian Bank and SFS/FIFS to ensure all auto titles problems are resolved.
  • Assists for the follow-up of loans that require repurchase letters for outstanding titles and escalates any outstanding repurchasing issues to management.
  • Responsible for calling DMV offices for advice, instructions, etc. for completing title paperwork.
  • Trains new employees and assists peers in the dept. with questions.
  • Handle escalated calls and issues such as, but not limited to, titles sent to a borrower in error, large balance short payoffs, etc.
  • Maintain quality control of current title status reporting ensuring that all exposed titles are handled according to established policies and procedures.
  • Research vehicle titles and resolves issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintain clear and concise communication with team members and stakeholders regarding titles status and updates.
  • Work closely with internal departments with handling difficult accounts and fields title-related questions.
  • Maintain confidentiality of personal information for consumers, including, but not limited to, Social Security numbers and dates of birth.
  • Perform other administrative tasks and duties as assigned.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in titling, lending, or relevant role

Education:

  • High school diploma and or/GED.

Skills Required:

  • Knowledge of DMV documentation requirements, laws and regulations for motor vehicle titles.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Bilingual is basic requirement to handle inbound customer calls.

Qualifications Preferred:

  • Experience – Minimum 1 year of customer service experience in automotive financial or loan servicing or related fields.
  • Overtime required – month-end volume increases, and other tasks/assignments may require overtime as needed.
  • Travel 0-10% - as needed basis.
  • Must have reliable transportation and live within a commutable distance to the following city: Houston, TX
