Compensation Analyst

Summary:

As Compensation Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the organization’s jobs, documenting responsibilities and requirements in job descriptions. Contributes organizational data to, and analyzes results of, compensation surveys. Conducts market analysis of company jobs to determine competitive positioning of the organizations pay programs. Participates in annual salary administration programs, including salary structure creation and maintenance and development of incentive or salary increase budgets. Participates in administration of annual performance management, incentive, or salary increase programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Serves as the technical expert collecting and analyzing data from compensation surveys and market trends to benchmark compensation practices.
  • Evaluate jobs to determine their worth and appropriate salary ranges, considering internal equity and market trends.
  • Assist in developing and implementing salary structures, incentive plans, and other compensation programs.
  • Perform data analysis to support compensation decisions, create reports, and present findings to management.
  • Ensure that all compensation practices comply with federal and state regulations, including pay equity laws.
  • Communicate compensation policies and programs to employees and provide training on related topics.
  • Support the budgeting process for compensation and related expenses, and perform cost analyses for compensation programs.
  • Address employee concerns about compensation and ensure that compensation practices are perceived as fair.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 2-4 years’ relevant experience in compensation.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, or 2 additional years related experience beyond the minimum required in lieu of degree.

Skills Required:

  • Advanced or Expert knowledge in excel.
  • Proficient knowledge of Payfactors and global salary surveys.
  • Proven and demonstrated experience working in a highly confidential environment.
